Amsterdam Gaat Groen - Cleaner City of Amsterdam
Official Ceremony and Handover of vehicles
On the 1st of October 2014 the City of Amsterdam is the first to start using two green commercial vehicles as an initial step towards a more sustainable and durable facility management. The two all-electric vehicles are used for the daily care of coffee, soft drinks and snack vending machines. In close collaboration with one of the biggest hot beverage and food suppliers in the Netherlands — Maas International BV — the City of Amsterdam serves more than 500 vending machines throughout the city. The electric vehicles will distribute various ingredients such as Fair-trade certified coffee and tea, all from one central logistics depot. The depot has its own charging station offering a good starting point for the introduction of more electric vehicles in the nearby future. The Nissan E-NV200 vans have a range of 150 km and will help the City of Amsterdam in their continuous effort towards a cleaner and greener city.
